    7. In 2017 Millstream initiated an Adult Education Traing (AET) program for 6 selected employees. A few training aids were purchased and a well known training company was engaged to provide a facilitator and training material as well as the computer software. A small computer training room was set upand in May 2017 the first classes got underway in July. Three learners required, what is termed, a 6 month oral bridge program before starting on the computors and three leaners started on the level one computer course. Millstream pays for the facilitator and course material. It also gives the workers between 40 minutes and 3 hours a week during work hours to receive tutorials from the facilitator. The learners are then required to complete the courses in their own time. The total length of the course is almost three years for those learners that start at the Oral bridge level.
    8. Over the past three years Millstream has provided accommodation and  access to it's  property to two masters students from the University of Pretoria to undertake research projects on the African clawless otter and other preditors and their impact on trout. (Final papers still pending).
    9. Since 1997 Millstream has been erradicating alien, invasive vegitation from the farm and replanting idigenous and /or non invasive trees that lend themselves to the area. We have achieved a 99% sucess rate with Black Wattle eradication and aim to reduce the eucalyptus (Gum Tree) population to less than 10% of total tree popuation by 2025. We are also concentrating on numerous other foriegn plant species that are invading Millstream, namely Verbena Braziliences, Cotoniaster, ink berry, scottish thistle, prickly pear etc etc. We employ, on a partime basis, the local Pafpa (Platorand fire protection assciation) team, during the late summer season (when they have very little to keep them occupied) to assist us in removing invasive vegetation.
